Musical and artistic approach to singing
The singer’s technique should facilitate the message. Therefore, working on expression and performance is also central to the course. During performance classes & master classes, the singer will have the opportunity to work with personal expression, in relation to his or her repertoire.
The Continuous Academy is offered to singers that have already attended The Vocal Academy, The 1-year Course, The Continuous Course or The 3-year Course.
At the Continuous Academy we attempt to tailor the process to individuals needs and wishes and in order to ensure that goals are being met and that progression is taking place, the singers’ development and work moral is closely monitored.
The Continuous Academy is an inspiring environment.
Classes consists of a variety of nationalities, encompassing many different genres and abilities.
The duration of The Continuous Academy is 1 month (Mon-Thurs) in the hours from approx. 10-16.
Friday (10-13/Concert feedback).
At The Continuous Academy singing is the main focus.
As singers already have considerable knowledge as to the instrument and The Complete Vocal Technique, the teaching takes its’ starting point on this presumption and therefore at the highest level.
The Continuous Academy Curriculum:
Working on specific musical wishes in regards to singing, instructed by a CVT coach and accompanied by a piano-player.
As described above (SWP) but accompanied by a back-track, karaoke track that the singer brings. (Tracks online are possible to use as well)
Small, but efficient, singing sessions in the hands of a CVT coach, where the singer zooms in on a specific singing-related issue.
Stepping up the method taught at The Vocal Academy, singers will in this class be optimizing performance and overall refine the ability to convey the message of a song.
The Rhythm/Impro class will center around optimizing and developing the individual singer’s groove and ability to improvise.
